Admissions & fees

At St Faith’s Prep we have an open door policy, inviting prospective parents to Contact Us at any time throughout the year to arrange a visit to the school to meet the Headmaster. We also hold a number of Open Days and events throughout the year providing further opportunities for prospective parents to see our school and nursery in action.

We cater for all academic needs at St Faith’s Prep. All children are offered the opportunity to attend a taster day before joining the school and for those pupils who are starting school for the first time, a programme of familiarisation and preparation takes place during the Summer Term.

Our main entry points are in the Nursery (from the age of two), in Reception (age 4) and in Year 3 (age 7), however we do accept applications to join the school in other year groups, subject to space. Where children join the school part-way through their education, we work closely with the child, the parents and their previous school to ensure a smooth transition.

Priority for places in our Nursery is given to children who are expected to continue through to our Reception class. Likewise, priority for places in Reception is given to those children who attend our Nursery.

Admissions Policy

Admission to St Faith's Prep School is normally by parental interview and discussion with the Headmaster.

The Headmaster may, at his absolute discretion, request that a child seeking entry to the school attend a taster day and complete an assessment (normally a Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning Test) before a place is offered. A reference from the child's existing school may also be sought.

While the school is proud of the progress of children whose special educational needs have been identified and assessed at the school, parents who are interested in a place here for children with existing special educational needs or for children for whom English is an additional language must discuss these with the Headmaster at the initial interview, to ensure that these children will make appropriate progress here and that St Faith's Prep would be the best school for these children.
