Friends

The Friends of St. Faith's at Ash are a very active and enthusiastic group of parents who organise social events and raise funds for essential extras for the school.

To date the Friends have raised money for major projects that extended the hard playing area and built our beautiful swimming pool. In addition, they have raised funds for many smaller, but equally useful items, such as books, computers and break-time toys.

The committee of friends consists of a small number of dedicated parents who work hard all year to produce wonderful events such as a bonfire night, Christmas Fayre, quiz nights, race nights, the summer fair and ball.

The Friends are fully supported by the Principals of the school who value their involvement, and communicate with them at every stage of their projects.

Fund Raising - Hard Play Area

At the moment, The Friends of St Faith's at Ash have been working hard to raise over £30,000 to build us a dedicated hard play court, where our children can play Netball, Basketball, Hockey, 5-a-side Football, Tennis and so on.

The Friends have consulted the builders, applied for Planning permission and have staged many exciting and enjoyable fund-raising events, with more in the pipeline.

The Principals are very grateful for their hard work. The Principals are determined to hold the school fees at St Faith's at Ash down to affordable levels and are therefore unable to carry out this sort of project without substantial assistance from a committed body of supporters.

The new play area will make an enormous difference to the teaching of Physical Education at St Faith's at Ash.

At the end of January 2009, over £18000 has been raised towards this fantastic project.
