Healthy Eating at our School !! We have a terrific chef and staff in our kitchen. They are creative and innovative and produce a marvellous variety of home-cooked food. Children at St Faith's at Ash are given fruit and a drink at their mid-morning break. For lunch we offer a choice of main courses and a vegetarian alternative on most days, followed by a delicious home made pudding. Main courses include a number of traditional roasts accompanied by locally grown fresh vegetables and potatoes. On other days we might prepare dishes such as fish pie, shepherds pie or chicken casserole or maybe the children will be given dishes with an international flavour, such as Moussaka, Lasagne, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Paella or Chilli Con Carne. At 2.15 lucky pupils in the Lower School receive a tasty homemade biscuit or scone or cheese straw or some other yummy snack. We believe that a good lunch is an important part of education, so we do not allow packed lunches or snacks to be brought into school. Our chef can cater for special dietary needs and we always have vegetarian options. At St Faith's at Ash, the children sit at tables with their teachers who encourage good table manners, all the time making the experience enjoyable and just like a family lunch.
