| Special Needs We have a full time SENCO special needs co-ordinator who ensures that our special needs programme is run according to the Kent County Council Special Educational Needs Code of Practice. We make sure that every child is subject to a special needs audit during each term so that any potential learning or behavioural problem is identified as early as possible. If we suspect that additional assistance may be required, our SENCO will work with the teaching staff to carry out an internal assessment, and with the parent’s knowledge, arrange appropriate support for the child’s needs. In addition to our SENCO we have a dedicated team of teaching staff and assistants who deliver special needs support. Special needs support is provided either on an individual basis, in small groups, or in the classroom. |
